ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team defeated Nazareth College 3-1 on Friday evening in Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) West action.
Mike Davis scores his 20
th goal of the season with 1:58 left in the first period to put the Knights up 1-0.
Anthony Pino notched the assist.
The Golden Flyers tied the game at one 1:24 into the second period.
Brandon Gagne tallied a power play goal midway through the second period, the eventual game-winner.
Liam Board and
Jon Low had the assists.
Joe Mitchell scored an insurance goal 14 seconds later for a 3-1 game.
Casey Rogers and
Steve Low notched the assists.
The Knights killed three penalties in the third period to hold off the Golden Flyers.
Mitch Wiebe made 44 saves in net. Nazareth edged Neumann in shots 45-42.
Neumann (13-7-3, 5-6-2 ECAC West) and Nazareth (7-12-4, 4-8-1 ECAC West) will wrap up the weekend series on Saturday beginning at 4:00 PM.
