RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team fell 74-64 to Cabrini College in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship game on Saturday evening.

JoHanna Metzger led the Knights with 19 points and 15 rebounds.
AAliya Hayes added 18 points and
Nafisa Saunders netted 14 points and three blocks. The team went 25-for-29 from the free throw line.
After the teams traded baskets to start the game, the Knights went on to score the next six points and take an early 10-4 lead. The Cavaliers then connected on a three-pointer. Neumann ended the first quarter with four free throws for a 14-7 lead.
With Neumann holding a 24-17 lead in the second quarter, Cabrini went on a 9-0 run to take a 26-24 lead. Two free throws by Saunders tied the game at 26. The teams would again trade baskets down the stretch and the Cavaliers held a slight 30-28 lead at halftime.
Neumann opened the second half with a 10-2 run to take a 38-32 lead. Again the teams would battle and with two free throws with 15 seconds left on the clock, Cabrini took a 43-42 lead into the final 10 minutes.
The Cavaliers built a seven point lead, 51-44, early in the fourth quarter. A three-pointer by Saunders got the Knights back to within two, 53-51. After the teams traded baskets, Cabrini went on a 10-2 run for a 65-55 lead, with 2:25 left in regulation. The Cavaliers would seal the game by connecting on free throws over the final minute while the Knights tried to cut back into the lead.
Shauntel Williams hit a three-pointer with 19 seconds remaining for an eight point deficit. Cabrini then hit two free throws to take home the championship.
Neumann (17-11) will now wait for the ECAC bids to be announced on Monday to see if its season will continue.
