ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team fell to Immaculata University 16-7 on Monday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Adam Fagan and
Sergio Plesati each netted a pair of goals for the Knights.
Ryan Lee had a goal and two assists.
Ryan Martin picked up six ground balls.
Antonio Gibson made eight saves in net.
The Mighty Macs scored two quick goals to start the game. Fagan then scored his first goal for a 2-1 game. Immaculata then scored the next four goals to finish the first quarter leading 6-1.
After Immaculata scored to start the second quarter, Neumann netted four straight goals by Fagan,
Ricky Viscuse, Plesati and
Ryan Lee, for a 7-5 game. The Mighty Macs added a goal right before halftime to take an 8-5 lead into the break.
Plesati scored the first goal of the third quarter to stay within two, 8-6. Immaculata then took control of the game with four goals to end the third quarter and take a 12-6 advantage.
Ron Lassiter was able to score for the Knights in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to come from behind and Immaculata took the 16-7 win.
Neumann (1-8, 0-4 CSAC) will travel to Moravian on Wednesday for non-conference action beginning at 4:00 PM.
