ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team remained undefeated in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action with a 15-2 win at Cedar Crest College on Saturday afternoon.
Nine different Knights found the back of the net in the total team effort win.
Erin Meehan and Diana Caideco each scored three times.
Brittany Cassidy and
Jordan Hopkins added a pair each.
Chelsea Kulesza netted her first collegiate goal and
Lindsay Kern scored her first goal of the season.
Becca Wallace made four saves in net for the win. Kulesza and Hopkins each tallied five draw controls. Meehan grabbed five ground balls while Kern and
Alexa McIntyre each picked up four.
Hopkins opened the scoring 24 seconds into the game. A goal by Cassidy, another by Hopkins gave Neumann a 3-0 lead. Cedar Crest next found the back of the net, but the Knights went on to score 10 goals to close out the first half and take a 13-1 lead after the first 30 minutes.
The Falcons scored the first goal of the second half.
Rachael Hoffmann found the back of the net with 20:08 left in regulation. Kern capped the scoring with 9:25 remaining for the 15-2 final.
Neumann (7-2, 5-0 CSAC) will host Misericordia in non-conference action on Monday afternoon beginning at 4:00 PM.
