ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team fell to Rosemont University 16-4 on Saturday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Before the game, the Knights honored its five seniors:
Ricky Viscuse,
Rob Neri,
Jeremy Pierson,
Connor Betts and
Ron Lassiter.
Ryan Lee led the Knights with two goals and an assist.
Antonio Gibson made 14 saves in net and picked up nine ground balls.
The Ravens scored four goals in the opening quarter to take a 4-0 lead over the Knights. Rosemont added two additional goals to start off the second quarter.
Lee put the Knights on the board with 5:04 left to play in the second quarter. Just 45 seconds later
Adam Fagan found the back of the net to make it 6-2. Rosemont added a goal before the end of the quarter to make it 7-2 going into halftime.
Lee came out quick in the third quarter with a goal at 14:23. The Ravens answered with four straight goals to lead 11-3 at the end of the third quarter.
Neri scored a goal with 9:24 left to play in the game, but it wasn't enough to match Rosemont's five fourth quarter goals, and the Knights fell 16-4.
Neumann (1-11, 0-6 CSAC) will finish up the regular season on Wednesday when it hosts Gwynedd Mercy University. Face-off is slated to begin at 7:00 PM.
