LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University softball team took a pair of Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) games at Cairn University on Friday afternoon. Game scores were 16-0 and 23-3, both in five innings.
In game one, the Knights put seven puts on the board in each of the first two innings. In the first innings,
Melissa Rozumalski knocked in a pair on a single.
Kara Grogan followed with a two-run single as well.
Michaela Pembleton pitched 5.0 innings and allowed just two hits and struck out five.
In game two, the Knights strung together nine base hits and three walks to plate 11 runs in the first inning.
Danielle Grayson hit a grand slam in the second inning to expand Neumann's lead.
Neumann added three runs in the fourth and fifth innings for the 23-3 win.
Taylor Naman went the 5.0 innings and allowed three runs on six hits and struck out three.
Neumann (22-14, 19-1 CSAC) will host Summit tomorrow in a doubleheader to wrap up regular season action. First pitch is at 1:00 PM.
