ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team will host Marywood University in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) semifinal on Wednesday evening.
The No. 2 seeded Knights received a first-round bye into the semifinals. This season, the Knights went 12-4 overall and 8-1 in the conference.
On the season,
Jordan Hopkins leads the Knights with 54 goals and 25 assists for a total of 79 points. She has played in all 16 games and won 132 draw controls.
Rebecca Dolenti contributed 41 goals and 12 assists for a total of 53 points.
Alexa McIntyre leads the team in ground ball pickups with 73.
Becca Wallace has made 125 saves in almost 960 minutes of play.
Neumann met No. 3 seeded Marywood on March 23 at home and came away with a 14-4 victory. Dolenti scored four goals and added an assist. Hopkins and
Taylor Klever each added three goals.
Kaitlyn Conrad had a goal and handed out four assists in the win.
The Knights and Pacers will face-off at 5:30 PM on Wednesday. No. 1 seeded Cabrini will face No. 4 seeded Immaculata in the other semifinal game on Wednesday beginning at 4:00 PM.
The semifinal winners will vie for the CSAC Championship and automatic berth to the NCAA tournament on Saturday, May 7 at the site of the highest remaining seed.
