ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team dropped a close 2-0 result to Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) rival Gwynedd-Mercy University on Saturday afternoon.
The first half saw Neumann come out strong, outshooting the Griffins by a count of 6-4. Despite the shot advantage, the Knights were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. The game would head to halftime tied 0-0.
Gwynedd-Mercy took the lead just six minutes into the second half and would not look back. The Griffins would add an insurance goal with just under ten minutes left in game to seal the victory 2-0. Shots for the contest ended at an even 12-12, with Neumann holding a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

Anna Attardi was solid in net, making three saves in the loss.
Kristina Yocum led the Knights with three shots.
Neumann (2-4, 0-1 CSAC) is back on the field on Tuesday as it hosts Bryn Mawr College. The match is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
