IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team defeated Immaculata 3-1 on Saturday morning in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Danni Elman tallied two goals for the Knights
Jamie King had a goal and an assist.
Anna Attardi made five saves in net for the win. Immaculata outshot Neumann 17-11, but the Knights had more shots on goal, 8-6.
Elman put the Knights on the board in the 17
th minute as she put the ball in the corner of the net off a pass from King. Elman scored her second goal on a breakaway in the 24
th minute. The Mighty Macs cut the Knights lead in half in the 29
th minutes when they converted a penalty kick.
As time was winding down, King scored on a cross from
Grace Stauffer for an insurance goal in the 88
th minute.
Neumann (4-4, 1-1 CSAC) will continue conference action on Tuesday when it heads to Rosemont College. The game is slated to begin at 4:00 PM.
