RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team fell 84-51 at Cabrini University on Thursday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
AAliya Hayes led the Knight with 29 points and 11 rebounds.
Cabrini held the pace in the first quarter, outscoring Neumann 25-13. With the Cavaliers holding a 13 point advantage, 33-20, the teams went on a two minute drought from scoring a point. Cabrini broke the drought with a basket and then Neumann went on a run. The Knights outscored the Cavaliers 10-4 until the last seconds of the half. Cabrini hit a basket right before the buzzer and took a 39-30 lead into halftime.
The Cavaliers came out on a 14-0 run to take a commanding 53-30 lead. Cabrini continued to keep the pressure up throughout the rest of regulation en route to the 84-51 win.
Neumann (5-6, 1-2 CSAC) will head to Cairn on Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 1:00 PM.
