RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team fell at Cabrini University 2-1 on Wednesday evening in a key Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) matchup.
The first two goals of the game came within a few minutes of each other in the first half. The Cavaliers struck first in the 18
th minute.
Billy Swontek answered back two minutes later to tie the game at one.
The teams would play knotted at one until Cabrini was able to break the tie with 10 minutes left in regulation with a one-on-one chance with the keeper.
The Knights edged the Cavaliers in shots 10-9 overall.
Perry Corsetti made a pair of saves in net. Swontek led Neumann with five shots.
Neumann (5-5-1, 3-1-1 CSAC) will host Immaculata on Saturday as part of homecoming weekend. Action is slated to get underway at 1:30 PM.
