ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team was edged by Cabrini University on Saturday, 1-0, in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
 
Before the game, the Knights honored its three seniors, Alexis Damask, Ashley Parker and Danni Hall.
 
The only goal of the game came as time was winding down in the first half as the Cavalier scored with 2:17 left before the break.
 
The defense stood out for the Knights, as the Cavaliers led the shots 15-5. Lizzie Yu made nine saves in net. The three seniors chipped in with five defensive saves, two by Hall and Damask and one by Parker.
 
Laura Stewart led Neumann with two shots, both on net, as the Knights put pressure on until the final horn sounded.
 
Neumann (2-10, 1-3 CSAC) will head to Gwynedd Mercy on Tuesday for conference action beginning at 4:00 PM.
