ASTON Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team suffered a 5-0 setback to visiting Marywood University in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Tuesday afternoon.

Mary Miller was the bright spot on the day for Neumann, making eight saves in the loss.
The Knights would have their hands full with a tough Marywood team from the opening whistle. The Pacers scored just seven minutes into the contest and controlled play throughout a majority of first frame. Marywood outshot the Knights by a count of 10-1 in the period, tacking on two goals late in the half to head to the break up by a score of 3-0.
Neumann fought hard to get back in the game in the second half, but two Marywood goals in the first eight minutes of the final period of play sealed the Knights fate. Shots for the game finished 20-5 in favor of the Pacers.
Neumann (1-7, 0-2 CSAC) returns to the field on Saturday, October 7
th for a non-conference tilt versus Stockton University. Game-time is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
