Box Score SHELTON, Conn. - The Neumann University women's ice hockey team suffered its second consecutive defeat on Tuesday evening, falling by a score of 10-0 to Sacred Heart University in non-conference action.
 
The Pioneers controlled play from the opening whistle, scoring two goals 35 seconds apart midway through the first to take an early 2-0 lead. Sacred Heart would outshoot the Knights 23-4 in the frame and tack on two more late goals to take a 4-0 lead into intermission.
 
Neumann would try to fight back in the second period, but two more Pioneer goals in the stanza would make it 6-0 after two. Sacred Heart would add on four more goals in the third and skate away with the convincing 10-0 win.
 
Neumann (5-3-1, 3-1 UCHC) will look to regroup next week when it returns to the ice to face-off versus William Smith College on Friday, December 1st. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
