GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team dropped its season opener at Arcadia University by a score of 16-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

Kaitlyn Conrad led Neumann on the afternoon, scoring both of the Knights goals while leading the team with five shots. Gabby Curry and Becca Wallace combined to make 11 saves in goal in the loss.

The first half would be all Arcadia, as Neumann struggled to get anything going offensively. Arcadia would jump on Neumann early and never look back, scoring the game's first goal just 48 seconds into the contest. The Knights from Glenside would continue to roll throughout the game's opening 30 minutes, tacking on ten more unanswered goals to head to halftime with an 11-0 lead.

Neumann would try to get back into the game with two Conrad tallies in the second half, but it would not be enough. Arcadia would continue to capitalize on its chances and would ultimately walk away with a 16-2 win.

Neumann (0-1) is back in action this Saturday, February 25^th when it heads to The College of New Jersey for a non-conference matchup. Game-time is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
