SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team took the season series against Marywood University with a 9-1 win in the rubber match in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest on Monday afternoon.
Duncan Balara hit two homeruns in the game.
Cody MacNair went 4-for-5 with two doubles and scored three runs.
Grant Wallace started the game and went 8.0 innings for the win. He allowed one run on eight hits and struck out six.
Matt Kelty pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning.
The Knights didn't waste any time and plated three runs in the first inning. With two outs, MacNair,

Eric Bergman and
Spencer Young hit back-to-back-to-back-to-back doubles.
The Pacers scored their lone run in the second inning for a 3-1 game. Neumann added four runs on the board in the fifth innings, highlighted by a three-run shot by Balara. The sophomore hit his second homerun in the seventh inning, a solo shot. The Knights capped the scoring as Bergman knocked in MacNair in the ninth inning.
Neumann (8-9, 3-3 CSAC) heads to Rutgers-Camden tomorrow afternoon for a single non-conference game beginning at 3:30 PM.
