GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team picked up its first Atlantic East Conference win as it blanked Gwynedd Mercy University 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
 
Kaitlin Thomas scored both goals for the Knights and led the team with six shots, four on goal. Neumann outshot Gwynedd Mercy 13-3 overall and 8-1 on net. Anna Attardi made the save on the one shot that was her direction.
 
After playing a scoreless first half, Thomas opened the scoring in the 52^nd minute. The freshman added an insurance goal in the 66^th minute for a 2-0 score.
 
Neumann (6-7-1, 1-2-1 Atlantic East) will host Immaculata on Saturday as it celebrates senior day. Action gets underway at 1:00 PM.
