ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team doubled-up Hood College 2-1 on Saturday afternoon to wrap up regular season action.
The game restarted with 16:29 left in the first half with the Knights leading 1-0.
Sam Picker scored in the eighth minute back on September 7 when the teams started the game. After a lengthy lightning delay, the game was suspended until this afternoon.
When the teams picked the action back up,
Erica D'Mello scored off a deflection from
Laura Stewart in the 21
st minute to five Neumann a 2-0 lead.
The Blazers scored their goal in the 56
th minute.
The Knights outshot the Blazers 28-1 overall and 22-1 on net.
Neumann (8-7) will open Atlantic East postseason action on Monday when it will host Cabrini in a first round game. The contest is slated to begin at 4:00 PM.
