ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team dropped a 4-2 decision to Wesley College on Saturday afternoon in an Athletic East Conference contest.
The Wolverines scored first as they scored in the fifth minute of the contest. In the 24
th minute, the Knights tied the game as
Morgan Ryan headed in a corner kick from
Carissa Britton. The assist for Britton was her ninth of the season, a new program single-season recrod. Five minutes later, Wesley took back the lead and took the 2-1 advantage into halftime.
Kyra Apaliski tied the game at two in the 61
st minute. The Wolverines took back the lead again in the 70
th minute and added an insurance goal in the 87
th minute.
Erin Ridler made eight saves in net for the Knights.
Kaitlin Thomas led Neumann with six shots.
Danni Elman added four shots.
Neumann (5-6-1, 0-1-1 Atlantic East) will head to Cabrini next Saturday to continue conference action. Tip-off is slated for 12:00 PM.
