Men’s Basketball to Host Keystone in CSAC First Round

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team is the No. 3 seed heading into the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) postseason. The Knights will host No. 6 seeded Keystone on Monday evening in first round action.
 
Neumann finished the season 18-7 overall and 13-5 in conference action. Keystone went 11-14 overall and 9-9 in the CSAC.
 
The Knights split with Keystone in the two regular season meetings. The teams met for the first time on December 2 at Keystone. The Giants came away with a 91-80 win. Five Knights scored in double-figures, led by Tyaire Hudson with 19. Billy Cassidy netted 14 points, including four baskets from beyond the arc. Raquan Brown-Johnson and Jordan Collins each netted 13 points while Aaron Johnson-Chavis added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
 
Back at the Mirenda Center, the Knights won 93-87. Hudson led the Knights with 26 points.  Brown-Johnson tallied 18 points.  Johnson-Chavis had another double-double with 20 boards and 15 points. He also added four blocks.
 
For the season, Hudson is leading the team with 16.9 points per game. Johnson-Chavis is adding 14.7 points and 9.9 rebounds. The freshman has tallied a team-high 68 blocks. Brown-Johnson is averaging 14.0 points while Cassidy is adding 12.8. Cassidy leads the team in three-pointers, connecting on 85 during the regular season.
 
The other first round game will feature No. 4 Rosemont hosting No. 5 Marywood. The winners will advance to the CSAC semifinals on Wedneday evening at top seeded Cabrini and No. 2 seeded Gwynedd Mercy.
