CLERMONT, Fla. – The Neumann University softball team defeated Johnson & Wales University 1-0 on Tuesday morning for its first win of 2018.
The lone run came in the top of the first for the Knights.
Grace Sperrazza led the game off with a walk. With two outs,
Julia Cox also walked for two runners on base.
Kate Korte' singles through the right side to score Sperrazza.
Jen Sieminski went all seven inning in the circle as she picked up the win. She allowed just two hits and struck out 11.
Taylor Sirolli had two hits in the game, including a double.
Neumann (2-1) will take an off-day on Wednesday. The Knights will face Alma and Saint Mary's (MN) on Thursday.
