ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's volleyball dropped a Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) contest to Cairn University, 3-0, in the home opener of the season. Set scores were 25-14, 25-16, 25-18.
In the first men's volleyball match in the Mirenda Center,
Khash Eshaghi tallied five kills.
Tomas Ybarra handed out six assists and seven digs.
Andrew Kelly notched eight digs and
Pat Morgan added six.
The Knights battled in the start of the second set and held the lead for a few serves. A kill by Morgan gave Neumann a 4-2 lead. As the third set was winding down, the Knights were able to rattle off six straight points to go from a 22-12 score to 22-18 score.
Neumann (0-9, 0-2 CVC) will continue CVC action on Friday evening when it hosts Eastern Mennonite beginning at 8:00 PM.
