ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis battled against Cabrini University on Monday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) matchup. The Cavaliers came away with the 5-4 win over the Knights.
In doubles action, Cabrini took two of the three points. Neumann won third doubles as the duo of
Ashley Francis and
Lindsey Padilla won 8-6.
In singles action,
Mia Cimino picked up a 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 win in the third flight. At fourth singles, Francis won the first set 6-4. After dropping the second set 6-2, she won the tiebreaker 10-5. Padillia won her match at sixth singles 8-2 in a superset.
Neumann (0-4, 0-4 CSAC) will take a break for Easter and then head to Cedar Crest College next Wednesday for more CSAC action. The matchup is slated to get underway at 4:00 PM.
