GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Neumann University softball team dropped a pair of contests at No. 21 Rowan University on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action. Game scores were 4-2 and 8-0 in six innings.
In the first game, the Profs scored their first run in the fourth inning. In the top of the sixth inning,
Rachel Albertson singled to start the inning and scored on a single by
Jackie Schneider.
Kate Korte' followed with a double to score Schneider.
Rowan took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth and scored three unearned runs on a homerun to take the 4-2 lead.
Jen Sieminski went 6.0 innings and allowed four runs, one earned, on five hits and struck out four.
In game two, Rowan scored five unearned runs in the fourth inning en route to the 8-0 final.
Taylor Naman went 5.2 innings and allowed eight runs, three earned, on eight hits.
Kristina Del Gaiso and
Jackie Selby each had two hits in the game.
Neumann (14-11) gets back into conference action on Friday as it heads to Keystone for a CSAC doubleheader beginning at 3:00 PM.
