GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team got back in the win column with an 8-5 win over Arcadia University on Thursday afternoon.
 
Andrew La Rosa went 4-for-5 with three runs scored. Cody MacNair went 3-for-4 with four RBI, including a three-run homerun.
 
Phil Sanborn started the game on the mound and picked up the win. He went 5.2 innings and allowed two runs on four hits while striking out three. Isaiah Morales pitched two innings out of the bullpen, allowing three runs on four hits. Kutter Endy got the save, going 1.1 innings.
 
La Rosa scored the first run of the game in the top of the first on a single by MacNair. Arcadia tied the game at one in the bottom of the first inning.
 
Neumann plated six runs in the third inning to take a 7-1 lead. MacNair hit a three-run homerun in the inning. The Knights took advantage of an error to plate three unearned runs.
 
Arcadia added a run in the sixth and three in the eighth to get within two, 7-5. John Schoelkopf knocked in La Rosa in the top of the ninth inning for an insurance run.
 
Neumann (9-11) will open conference action tomorrow with a doubleheader against Clarks Summit. First pitch of the doubleheader will be at 1:00 PM at Bruder Field.
