RADNOR, Pa. - The Neumann University women's lacrosse team saw its season come to an end in the Colonial State Athletic Conference (CSAC) semifinals for the second consecutive season on Wednesday afternoon, falling to rival Cabrini University by a score of 21-7.

Kaitlyn Conrad and
Courtney Petrucelli all tallied twice for the Knights, while
Meghan McKewen added a lone marker.
Gabby Curry made her final CSAC start in goal, stopping seven saves in the loss.
Coming off of a first round playoff bye, Cabrini showed no rust early, racing out of the gate to an early 6-0 lead in the game's first seven minutes.
Brittany Cassidy got the Knights on the board at the 21:40 mark of the first frame to make it 6-1, but the Cavaliers continued to build their lead after that. Cabrini outscored Neumann 8-2 the rest of the half to take a comfortable 14-3 lead into halftime.
The Knights opened the second half with Conrad's 80
th goal of the season, but again the Cavaliers responded with a flurry. Cabrini retaliated with five unanswered goals to lead 19-4 with 15:22 left to play in the game. The Knights outscored the Cavaliers 3-2 in the final 15 minutes, but it was not nearly enough, as the hosts took home the 21-7 victory to move on to the CSAC Championship game on Saturday.
Neumann (10-9) will await word of a potential Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) playoff bid early next week. Check back for more information regarding the ECAC tournament next week.
