LA PLUME, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team got back into the win column with a 5-1 victory at Keystone College on Tuesday afternoon.
Danni Elman scored two goals for the Knights.
Kaitlin Thomas and
Carissa Britton each tallied a goal and two assists.
Jordan Karanian netted her first collegiate goal.
Anna Attardi picked up the win in net and made five saves.
The Giants scored the first goal of the game in the eighth minute. The Knights answered back 12 seconds later as Elman scored her first goal off an assist from Thomas.
Britton, who also tallied her first collegiate goal and game-winner, scored in the 24
th minute off a pass from Thomas. The pair then reversed rolls as Thomas scored her goal in the 30
th minute from Britton. Neumann took the 3-1 lead into halftime.
Elman scored her second goal of the contest in the 70
th minute from Britton. Karanian netted her goal in the 87
th minute to seal the win off assists from
Summer Sides and
Tina Tarantino.
Neumann (3-4) will return home for the first of three straight games on campus as it hosts Eastern on Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 1:00 PM.
