Women’s Soccer Edged in Battle of the Knights

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team dropped a heartbreaking 1-0 double overtime decision to Mount Saint Mary College (N.Y.) on Sunday afternoon.
 
The lone goal game in the 103rd minute of the second overtime on MSMC's 21st shot of the game.
 
Anna Attardi made 10 saves in net for the Knights. Taylor Garman and Belle Hughes led Neumann with two shots each.
 
The Knights had back-to-back corners late in the second half, but could not get a shot off to take the lead.
 
Neumann (1-1) will hit the road for the first time this season when it travels to Cairn on Thursday. The non-conference contest is slated to get underway at 4:00 PM.
