SALISBURY, Md. – The Neumann University men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday evening, falling by a score of 3-0 in non-conference action versus Salisbury University.

Danny Lewis split time is goal for the Knights, combining for four saves on the day.
After two weather delays lasting over an hour long, Neumann had the best chances early.
Marlon Trejo ripped a shot on goal in the third minute of play, followed up by a blocked shot from
Jake Baxter just two minutes later. Unfortunately for Neumann, the team could not sustain its pressure. Salisbury began to take control of the game midway through the period, banging home a loose ball in the box in the 19
th minute to go up 1-0. The game would head to halftime at the same score-line with the Sea Gulls carrying a 6-3 edge in shots.
The Knights looked to get back into the game early in the second half, but Salisbury killed off any hopes of a comeback with a second goal in the 60
th minute to double its lead. The Sea Gulls would add a third goal with 16 minutes left to play and cruised to the 3-0 win.
Neumann (1-1-1) returns to action this Friday, September 7
th when the team hits the road for another non-conference matchup at Penn State Harrisburg. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
