ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's s soccer team blanked Notre Dame of Maryland University 5-0 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
Kaitlin Thomas tallied a hat trick and added in assist in the game.
Danni Elman scored the other two goals in the game.
Anna Attardi made three saves in net.
Thomas scored the first goal of the game just two and a half minutes after the start. Elman hit a long pass to Thomas who took the ball pass the defenders and put the ball into the back of the net. Elman scored her first goal four minutes later as she took a pass from Thomas this time.
Thomas netted her second goal in the 20
th minute and completed her hat trick in the 32
nd minute.
Carissa Britton crossed the ball to Thomas, who headed the ball into the back of the net. Neumann took the 4-0 lead into halftime.
Elman scored her second goal a minute and a half into the second half for the 5-0 win.
The Knights outshot the Gators 33-6 overall and 18-3 on net. Eleven different players had a shot in the game for the Knights.
Neumann (2-2) will head to Rutgers-Camden on Monday evening for a non-conference match-up beginning at 7:00 PM.
