ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team fell in a pair of matches at the Buttermaker Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Melanie Malseed and
Hayley Glah were named to the All-Tournament team.
The Knights fell to host Muhlenberg 3-0 in the first match of the day, 25-21, 25-21 and 25-17. Malseed led Neumann with 12 kills and 15 digs.
Kirsten Longueira added 10 digs.
Alex Koppany handed out 20 assists.
In the second match, Neumann fell to Stevenson in four sets, 3-1. The Mustangs won sets one and two, 25-17 and 26-24. After falling in the close second set, the Knights took set three 25-17. Stevenson answered with a 25-18 win in set four for the match.
Bre Hickey led the Knights with 13 kills. Malseed added 11 kills and 15 digs. Koppany tallied 36 assists and 12 digs. Longueira and Glah each notched 11 digs.
Neumann (5-4) will open its home schedule on Tuesday when it will host Ursinus beginning at 7:00 PM.
