ARLINGTON, Va. – The Neumann University women's basketball fell to Marymount University on Saturday, 89-34, in an Atlantic East Conference contest.
Three Knights tallied six points to lead the way,
Mariah Maciejewski,
Nafisa Saunders and
Aijea Fowler. Maciejewski also grabbed six boards.
The Saints came out and scored the first 10 points of the contest.
Jaylin Ortiz put the Knights on the board, but those two points were the only points of the quarter for the Knights. Marymount held a 19-2 lead after 10 minutes.
Marymount kept the pressure on throughout regulation. The Saints led 39-11 at the half and 60-23 after 30 minutes. Marymount cruised to the 89-34 final in the Atlantic East game.
Neumann (10-9, 3-4 Atlantic East) will host Immaculata on Wednesday for an Atlantic East doubleheader. The women are slated to get underway at 6:00 PM.
