Knights Halted by Cavaliers in Atlantic East Opener

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team fell to Cabrini University 4-0 on Wednesday evening in an Atlantic East Conference contest.
 
The first half of the matchup was a back and forth fight between both teams leading into a scoreless halftime.
 
In the second half, the Cavaliers took advantage of some miscues and scored three goals, including one on a penalty kick, in just over a five minute span early in the second half. Cabrini added an insurance goal in the 64th minute to seal the win.
 
The Knights were outshot 14-4 overall and 9-2 on net. Anna Attardi made five saves in goal.
 
Neumann (4-7-1, 0-1 Atlantic East)) will head to Marywood on Saturday for its first road conference match-up. Kick-off is set for 3:30 PM.
