SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team's season came to an end after a 3-2 loss to McDaniel College on Sunday afternoon in an ECAC Semifinal match.
 
Ariana Pena tallied 16 kills for the Knights and was named to the All-Tournament team. Melanie Malseed notched 13 kills and 14 digs. Rachel Cray handed out 33 assists while adding 12 digs. Alex Koppany had 10 digs. Hayley Glah had five service aces and nine digs.
 
The Green Terror won the first two sets, 25-17 and 25-22. The Knights came storming back in the third set. Leading by one point, 15-14, Neumann scored five straight points for a 20-15 score. The Knights took the third set 25-21 on a kill by Grace Herbein.
 
During the fourth set, Neumann took a 14-7 advantage. McDaniel chipped its way back into the set and pulled to within two 16-14. The Knights didn't let up and continued to build back up their lead and took set four 25-18 on a service ace by Glah.
 
The fifth set went back and forth. The Knights were able to get to a 14-12 lead but were not able to get match point as the Green Terror scored four straight points for the 16-14 fifth set win.
 
Neumann finishes its season 19-13.
