BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team picked up an 80-68 win at Bryn Athyn College on Tuesday evening in a non-conference action.
 
Anthony Mitchell led four Knights in double-digits with 20 points while grabbing 11 rebounds. Nasir Cassel tallied 15 points while Waheem Lowman netted 12 points. Haneef Vaughn notched a double-double with 12 boards and 11 points. He also dished out eight assists. Sanoussi Abdourhamane pulled down 13 rebounds and five blocks.
 
The Knights held the lead for most of the contest. The Lions lone lead of the game was one point, 17-16, with 12:25 left in the first half. Neumann answered that deficit with seven straight points. With five minutes left until halftime, the Knights held a five-point advantage, 32-27. The Knights then went on a 12-0 run before the Lions ended the half with two free throws for a 44-29 score at the break.
 
The Knights held a double-digit lead throughout the second half, with the largest lead coming with 14:17 left in the second half, 58-33. The Lions pulled to within 10 points a couple times late in the game, but Neumann went 13-for-18 at the free throw line over the final two minutes to seal the win.
 
Neumann (4-3) will head to the University of Rochester this weekend for a tournament. The Knights will face Utica College on Saturday evening beginning at 7:00 PM.
