SALISBURY, Md. – The Neumann University women's basketball team fell at Salisbury University 83-44 on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Courtney Murray was the lone Knight to hit double-digits with 14 points.
The Seagulls started the contest by scoring the first six points. The Knights worked their way back and a three-pointer by
Lauren Leicht put Neumann up 13-12 with 2:32 left in the first quarter. Salisbury hit the last basket of the quarter for a 14-13 lead after the first 10 minutes.
Shaylah Green put the Knights back in the lead with the first basket of the second quarter. However, Salisbury outscored Neumann 20-2 over the rest of the quarter. The Seagulls took a 34-17 lead into halftime.
Salisbury used the advantage it built in the second quarter and cruised through the second half for the 83-44 final.
Neumann (4-5) will host Manhatannville after finals on Monday, December 16 in its final home game of 2019.
