ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University men's tennis team dropped its first Atlantic East Conference match of the season on Thursday afternoon, falling by a score of 7-2 to visiting Cabrini University.
Daniel Rival and
Zach Dakin were the only winners on the day for the Knights. Rival was victorious at first singles by a score of 6-2, 7-6 and Dakin took home a win at fifth singles in a third set tie break (0-6, 7-5, 10-5).
The rest of the day belonged to the Cavaliers, who swept all three doubles matches and won five of seven singles matches.
Evan King battled at third singles but ultimately fell 6-1, 7-5.
Neumann (5-2, 2-1 Atlantic East) will look to rebound next Tuesday, April 23rd when the team plays a non-conference match at Bryn Athyn College. Game-time is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
