SCRANTON, Pa. - The Neumann University women's lacrosse team wrapped up its regular season schedule on Wednesday evening at Marywood University, dropping an 18-5 result in Atlantic East Conference action.

Brittany Cassidy and
Reilly Fiedler each added a goal.

The Knights hung tough early in the game, trading two goals apiece in the opening 10 minutes to make it 2-2 at the 19:36 mark. The Pacers would take over from there though, going on a 7-0 run over the next ten minutes to jump out to a 9-2 lead with 9:21 left in the half. Petrucelli and Fiedler scored late in the half to get the Knights back within striking distance but another late Marywood goal made it 10-4 heading to halftime.
The hosts continued to dominate play in the second stanza, holding Neumann to just one goal in the frame. The Knights looked to be getting back into the game with a Cassidy marker six seconds into the half, but it would be the last goal of the game for the visitors. The Pacers closed out the game on an 8-0 run, sealing the conference victory by a score of 18-5.
Neumann (10-7, 3-3 Atlantic East) will head into the Atlantic East Conference playoffs as the four-seed and will host Immaculata University in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday, April 27th. Game-time is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
