ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team topped Cedar Crest College 3-1 on Tuesday evening.
Belle Hughes started off the scoring in the third minute, off a pass from
Anna Attardi. In 12th minute,
Danni Elman put the Knights up by a 2-0 score.
The Falcons scored their lone goal on a penalty kick in the 34
th minute. The Knights took a 2-1 lead into halftime.
In the second half, Hughes netted her second goal of the contest as she put the ball in the back of the net off a corner from
Carissa Britton.
The Knights outshot the Falcons 15-12 overall. Both teams notched eight shots on net.
Payton Clements made six saves between the pipes in her first collegiate start.
Neumann (3-3-1) wraps up its six straight road games on Saturday as it travels to Eastern. Game time is set for 12:00 PM.
