ARLINGTON, Va. – The Neumann University men's basketball team fell at Marymount University 73-65 on Wednesday evening in an Atlantic East Conference match-up.
 
Waheem Lowman tallied 18 points to lead the Knights. Dennis Robinson netted 16 and Nasir Cassel added 12.
 
The teams battled back and forth over the first 11 minutes of the contest. Halfway through the first half, the Saints held a slim 16-14 lead when they on a 7-0 run to extend the lead to 23-14. Robinson hit a layup, but Marymount went on to score six straight points for a 31-16 lead with four minutes left in the first half. The Knights ended the half on a 7-3 run for a 34-23 score at the break.
 
The teams battled throughout the second half and Neumann outscored Marymount by three over the 20 minutes. But the Knights could not overcome the lead the Saints built in the first half time and fell by a 73-65 final.
 
Neumann (7-9, 1-2 Atlantic East) returns home on Saturday when it will host Immaculata. The Atlantic East action will tip-off at 3:00 PM.
