RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team dropped an Atlantic East Conference contest at Cabrini University, 67-44, on Saturday afternoon.
Terea Hunt tallied 16 points to lead the Knights.
Kiara Stovall netted 15 points.
Kamryn Englert added eight points.
Over the first six minutes of the game, the Cavaliers scored nine of the first 11 points. The Knights then netted seven of the next eight points to pull within one, 10-9. Cabrini scored the final nine points of the quarter for a 19-9 lead. Midway through the second quarter, Neumann pulled within six, 21-15, on a jumper by Stovall. The Cavaliers answered right back with a three-pointer to start a 13-3 run. Cabrini held a 35-19 lead at the break.
The Cavaliers continued to build their lead throughout the second half, not letting the Knights cut into the deficit, to came away with the win.
Neumann (5-15, 1-6 Atlantic East) will travel to Wesley on Wednesday evening for more conference action beginning at 6:00 PM.
