READING, Pa. – The Neumann University men's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at Alvernia University on Saturday. The Knights fell to the host 3-0 and then D'Youville College 3-0.
In the first match against the Golden Wolves, set scores were 25-4, 25-10 and 25-12.
Ryan Bollinger tallied five kills and seven digs.
Jules Maiorano handed out 13 assists.
Against D'Youville,
John Hoopes had five kills. Maiorano dished out 18 kills.
Nick Shortlidge notched 12 digs. Set scores were 25-22, 25-20 and 25-15. The Knights battled in the first set. With the score 23-22, the Spartans were able to get two straight kills for the set win.
Neumann (3-9) will head to Elizabethtown on Tuesday evening for a conference match-up. Action is slated to begin at 8:00 PM.
