Women’s Basketball Heads to Gwynedd Mercy for First Round Action

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team is the No. 6 seed heading into the Atlantic East Postseason and will travel to No. 3 Gwynedd Mercy on Monday evening for first round action.
 
The Knights finished the regular season 7-18 overall and 3-9 in conference action. The Griffins took both games during the regular season by scores of 96-66 at Gwynedd Mercy and 110-89 at Neumann.
 
Terea Hunt and Tierra Harris each netted 16 points at the Griffins. Hunt also grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double. Kiara Stoval scored 13 points. Back home, Chelsea Keebler hit six three-pointers en route to 18 points. Stovall tallied 16 points. Hunt added 10 while Harris and Jaylin Ortiz each notched 10.
 
For the season, Hunt is leading the Knights, averaging 11.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Keebler is tops for Neumann in three-point shooting, connecting on 59 baskets from downtown.
 
In the other first round contest, No. 4 Immaculata will host No. 5 Marywood. The winner of the first-round games will move onto the semifinals on Wednesday evening. No. 1 Marymount and No. 2 Cabrini will host the semifinals contests. The winners on Wednesday will meet on Saturday for the second Atlantic East Championship.
