Maikisch Named MVP & Goalie of the Year

3/5/2020 10:07:00 AM

The Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference (DVCHC) recently announced their award winners for the 2019-20 season and Noah Maikisch was named the American Division's Most Valuable Player and Goalie of the Year.  The freshman posted an 8-5 record with a .884 save percentage to lead the club to the second-seed in the American Division.

Maikisch, a native of Toms River, NJ, was also recently named to the DVCHC American/Patriot Select All-Star team, where he will be joined by teammates Zachary Deemer, Ryan Gosselin, and Brett Schneider. The Select All-Star team will compete in two games against other select all-star leagues at Iceline in West Chester, PA on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14.

Despite a loss in the divisional semifinals, Neumann enjoyed an impressive campaign. The club returned to the ice after a two-year hiatus and immediately proved to be contenders in the American Division, finishing the regular season in second place with a 5-3 record. Overall, the Knights posted an even 10-10 mark under first-year head coach Paul Gilligan.
