ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team is the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic East Conference Playoffs and will host No. 6 seeded Immaculata on Tuesday evening in a first round match.
The Knights went 4-2 in conference action, 12-17 overall. The Mighty Macs are 6-13 overall and 1-5 in the Atlantic East.
During the regular season, Neumann defeated Immaculata in straight sets 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-11).
Regan Hickey led the Knights with nine kills.
Maria Brown added six.
Dani Smith handed out 16 assists and 10 service aces.
Bre Hickey notched 10 digs.
Ariana Pena leads the Knights this season with 259 kills and 80 blocks. R. Hickey has tallied 225 kills while B. Hickey has added 213.
Smith has handed out 502 assists and 65 service aces.
Catie Esslinger has dished out 324 assists.
B. Hickey leads the team in digs with 308.
Tori Burgess has added 269.
In the other first round games, No. 2 Marymount hosts No. 7 Centenary and No. 4 Marywood hosts No. 5 Gwynedd Mercy. No. 1 seeded Cabrini has a bye.
The winners on Tuesday will advance to the semifinals on Thursday evening. The lowest remaining seed will face top seeded Cabrini. The remaining two teams will play at the next highest seed.
The winners of the semifinals on Thursday will advance to the 2021 Championship match on Saturday at the highest remaining seed.
