ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team dropped a 63-49 decision to Albright College on Saturday afternoon.
Tierra Harris led the Knights with 14 points.
Chelsea Keebler hit four three-points for 12 points.
Lauren Klieber scored seven points off the bench.
The scoring got off to a slow start. Keebler put the first points on the board two-and-a-half minutes into the game. With 3:48 left in the first quarter, the teams were knotted at 10. The Lions ended the first 10 minutes on a 10-5 run for a 20-15 lead at the first break. Albright opened the second quarter on a 7-2 run and built its lead to 15, 37-22, at halftime.
The Knights started to chip their way into the deficit and with 3:57 on the clock had made their way to within four, 40-36. A three-pointer by Keebler pulled Neumann to within two, 43-41. The Lions hit a last second layup for a 45-41 lead heading into the final quarter.

Jacqueline Wardrop with 6:43 left on the clock made it a one-point game, 48-47. A free throw by Klieber pulled the teams even at 48. However, Albright scored the next eight points for a 56-48 lead with 3:43 left in regulation. Harris went 1-for-2 from the line to break the run, but the Lions scored the final seven points of the game for the 63-49 win.
Neumann (2-4) heads to Widener on Tuesday evening. Tip-off is slated for 6:00 PM.
