ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team got back in the win column with a 73-46 win over Lancaster Bible College on Thursday evening.
Jalen Vaughns went 15-for-22 from the floor for 30 points to lead the Knights.
TJ Lewis added 12 points.
Ryan Starr dished out 12 assists.
Tony James grabbed 14 rebounds.
KJ Speller tallied eight points and eight rebounds.
The Knights scored the first four points of the game and never relinquished the lead. Up 8-6, Neumann went on a 9-0 run for a 17-6 lead five minutes into the contest. A three-pointer by the Chargers with 7:16 on the clock cut the lead to seven, 26-19. Two free-throws by Speller started a 16-3 Neumann run to end the half as the Knights took a 42-22 lead into the break.
The Knights continued to build their lead throughout the second half, holding their largest lead of 29, 69-40, with 3:57 remaining in regulation.
Neumann (6-3) will wrap up the home portion of the fall semester on Saturday when it hosts Susquehanna. Tip-off is slated for 1:00 PM.
