ARLINGTON, Va. – The Neumann University women's basketball team couldn't overcome a slow start and fell at Marymount University 63-22 on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea Keebler netted eight points for the Knights.
Dymond Collins grabbed seven rebounds in her Knights debut.
Lauren Leicht scored the first point for Neumann on a free throw. Keebler then hit a three pointer, but the Saints outscored the Knights 12-4 in the first 10 minutes. Marymount took a 31-8 lead into halftime.
Keebler hit another three-pointer just before the buzzer, but the Saints came away with the 63-22 win.
Neumann (0-1) will host Marymount on Wednesday as part of the home-and-home. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 PM.
