ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team was edged by Immaculata University 5-4 on Monday afternoon in an Atlantic East Conference match.

In doubles action, the duo of
Patrick Rudy and
Seth Walker took their match in the second flight 8-6. King and
Sean Flannery battled at first doubles but fell 8-3. The Mighty Macs took third doubles by forfeit and held a 2-1 lead after doubles action.
The Knights won third through fifth singles. Rudy took third singles 6-2, 6-4. Walker won fourth singles 6-2, 6-3.
Richard Lipscomb made his Knights debut and won fifth singles 6-3, 6-4. King and Flannery each battled in their first and second singles flights, but the Mighty Macs picked up those matches. Immaculata also took the sixth singles match by default to come away with the 5-4 win.
Neumann (0-2, 0-2 Atlantic East) will head to Marywood on Wednesday for more conference action beginning at 3:30 PM.
