Men’s Lacrosse to Host Marymount in AEC Semifinal Action

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team, the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic East Conference postseason, will host No. 3 seeded Marymount University in a semifinal contest on Wednesday, May 5.
 
The Knights went 5-3 overall during the regular season and 4-2 in conference action. Drew Conlon leads the offense of Neumann with 27 goals and 17 assists for 44 points. Colin Blake is a point behind Conlon with 43 points (23 goals, 20 assists). Jack Newswanger is the main face-off man and wins 64.5% of his face-offs. The senior also leads the Knights with 62 ground balls.
 
Brendan Risley has started all eight contests in net. Brett McLaughlin has caused 29 turnovers while picking up 40 ground balls. 
 
Marymount went 5-3 during the regular season and 3-2 in conference action. During the regular season meeting between the Knights and the Saints, Marymount edged Neumann 13-11.
 
Max Nice led the Knights with four goals in the back-and-forth game. Conlon added three goals and two assists. Colin Blake had 10 shots and picked up five ground balls. Risley made 15 saves in net.
 
The winner will take on the winner of the other semifinal game between No. 1 Cabrini and No. 4 Marywood. The Championship game will be played on Saturday, May 8.
 
Action is slated to get underway at 5:00 PM.
